WORKING:
Hot air is introduced from the boom of the container which has diffuser plates and a sieve . The bed of wet material gets fluidized. Fluidizaon produces turbulence in bed of solid parcles and since each parcle is surrounded by hot air, heat transfer is extremely high and uniform. Moist air passes through a filter bag and a exhaust. 

ADVANTAGES: In a Fluid Bed Dryer, the temperature is distributed uniformly throughout the product and the heat rate is very high. High producon rates are achieved because of reduced drying me. As the product is in close contact with the drying air at a low temperature and for a short duraon, the physical and chemical properes of the product are not affected generally and hence the dryer can be effecvely used in the case of heat sensive products. As the products is connuously moving during the process, there is minimum lump formaon or case hardening. Fluidised bed dryer are most suitable for drying granular, crystalline, coarse, or similar material and it is not suitable for liquids or paste.
